We’ll look at how the features of each vehicle to help you decide which one you’ll truly fall in love with.

Bang for Your Buck

The 2019 Subaru Outback offers significant savings compared to the 2019 Honda Pilot. In fact, you could choose to upgrade to Premium trim levels to increase the amenities, comfort and style of your Subaru and still have money to spare. The Outback also comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive while the Pilot comes standard with front-wheel drive unless you opt for a pricey upgrade.

Fuel Efficiency

Many assume that fuel efficiency isn’t possible with a mid-sized crossover and settle for subpar gas mileage. While the 2019 Honda Pilot only gets 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway, the 2019 Subaru Outback boasts 25 mpg city and 32 mpg on the highway. This means the Outback will allow you to get where you’re going with less stops along the way.

Interior Space

The 2019 Honda Pilot is a three-row SUV, allowing seating for up to eight. The Pilot also has 10” more cargo room than the Outback. While the 2019 Subaru Outback seats only five, allows more leg room for rear passengers to ride in comfort.

The smaller exterior of the 2019 Subaru Outback allows for smoother turns with a 36.1-foot turning diameter compared to the bulkier 39.4-foot diameter of the 2019 Honda Pilot. The body of the Outback also offers 8.7-inches of ground clearance, versus the 7.3-inches on the Pilot, to make sure your car can handle any terrain.
